This role will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the human resources and safety departments. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Maintaining human resources department files and employee records, both electronic and paper.
• Assisting with the administration of employee leave management, tracking and communications.
• Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding process, including communication of employee benefit details.
• Timely filing of workers compensation claims as well as consistent follow up correspondence with both employees and insurance carriers.
• Scheduling all safety training, including maintaining the company-wide training log.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of urgency and high attention to detail. As a member of our HR and Safety teams, this role requires the ability to multi-task, effectively perform job duties in our fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality for all tasks.
The qualified candidate will offer an associate’s degree in human resources or equivalent and a minimum of 3+ years’ experience to include both human resources and safety administration functions. Candidates should possess effective organizational, time management, as well as verbal and written communication skills. Solid knowledge of an HRIS system, Microsoft Office as well as Occupational Safety and Health regulations is required.
