Ingredients
- 16 oz. ground beef sirloin
- 1/2 cup La Bottega di BelGioioso® American Grana® cheese, grated
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 cups La Bottega di BelGioioso® Peperoncino® cheese, shredded
- 2 cups avocado slaw (recipe follows)
- 8 tomato slices
- 8 slider-sized buns
For Salad:- 1 cup shredded white cabbage
- 1 cup shredded red cabbage
- 2 large carrots, shredded
- 1/4 red onion, diced
For Avocado Dressing- 1 avocado
- 1/4 cup BelGioioso Mascarpone cheese
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 cup packed fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 lemon, juiced (approx. 2 Tbsp.)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Combine beef with American Grana®, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper in mixing bowl. Shape beef into 16-1 oz. patties about a 1/4-inch thick. In the center of 8 patties, top with 2 Tbsp. Peperoncino cheese. Top with remaining patties and press to seal edges. Refrigerate patties until ready to cook.
Grill or pan-grill burgers over medium heat on lightly oiled grill. Cook thoroughly on each side. Toast slider buns, cut side down on grill. Assemble sliders with avocado slaw, grilled burger, then a tomato slice. Top with bun.
Avocado Slaw
Prepare and chop salad ingredients and set aside in a large bowl. Combine dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until well combined with a creamy consistency. Mix with salad ingredients.
